BERLIN LOVE TOUR
A guided tour of Berlin on the streets of Dublin

Welcome to Berlin!

Walk through this famously divided city and journey into the depths of the human heart. Visit the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate and the notorious site of Hitler’’s bunker. Hear stories of tragedy and lost love. Your experienced and charming guide will reveal the secrets of this city of angels and ruins, and may have a few stories of her own to tell along the way.

Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring an open heart.

About

Playgroup were formed in Cork, Ireland, in 2002, and have produced or co-produced seven productions to date, in venues ranging from theatres large and small to back rooms of pubs and scheduled trains.

We create theatre which holds a mirror up to the contemporary experience in order to find new stories and ways of telling them which reflect the way we live now.

Our work includes new Irish writing and collaboratively created work, in theatrical and off-site contexts.

Our current project, Berlin Love Tour is running as part of Absolut Fringe, 9-25 September 2010.

BERLIN LOVE TOUR was developed with the support of an Arts Council Projects: New Work Award in 2008, which facilitated a period of research and development in Berlin in late 2008 and a work in progress showing as part of Project Brand New in January 2009. Further development and the performances at ABSOLUT Fringe 2010 are made possible by an Arts Council Theatre Project Award and a Cork City Council Theatre Project Award. It is co-produced by Cork Midsummer Festival and supported by Rough Magic Hub.
